Open PhD/Post doc position

We have an open position to join our team “Population genomics and complex traits” at the Institute of Research in Cancer and Ageing (https://www.ircan.org/en/research/gianni-liti), Nice, France. The project aims to investigate the role of cell volume in adaptation and how this interacts with the environment. The candidate will apply population and quantitative genomics approaches in fission yeast to identify volume molecular targets that evolved over short and long evolutionary timescales [1,2], notably taking advantage of a collection of natural isolates [3]. Candidates with both experimental and/or computational backgrounds are suitable and an initial training at the Institute of Genetics and Development of Rennes (France) in the collaborator team of Dr. Damien Coudreuse (www.synthecell.org) is envisioned. The position is open at both PhD or postdoctoral levels and suitable post-doc applicants will be encouraged to apply for individual fellowships.

Candidates should contact Dr. Gianni Liti at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and send 1) a Curriculum Vitae, including past research experiences as well as 2) a letter detailing their motivation and interest in our work. Applicants should also request recommendation letters to be directly sent to Dr. Gianni Liti by at least two references. This position is funded by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR).
